The course includes hands-on demonstrations. This class is perfect for construction workers and industrial applications. We cover Fed & Cal OSHAʼs Fall Protection Regulations 1926.500 & 1670 and how the standard applies to both Construction and General Industry. We will also address Military Spec EM-385 and ANSI Z359 ‘Managed Fall Protection Standard’
We’ll demonstrate how to set-up an anchor point and lifelines on a roof. Harness inspection, adjustment, of safety harness, lanyards, Self Retracting Lifelines, Fall Restraint / Positioning systems and rescue procedures will be covered.
- Our 1 Day class was developed for experienced field personnel who use fall protection systems frequently.
- The 2 Day class gives students additional time of hands-on experience and goes deeper into fall protection equipment and gives further understanding of the Fed & Cal OSHA regulations.
Construction Safety Order 1926.503 (a) (2) states the following:
Competent Persons/Qualified in the following areas shall give training to employees who are exposed to fall hazards. You can become a Trainer if you have previously attended a Competent Person fall protection class.
OSHA definition: “A Qualified Person must demonstrate extensive knowledge and have the ability to solve & resolve problems”.
* CLASSES with less than 10 students may be rescheduled. All safety classes are payable in advance. Cancellation fees will apply unless 1 week written cancellation notice is given. Cancellation with less than 1 week written notice is non-refundable. Students will be placed in a future class if they cancel or “no show” with less than 1 week notice. Minimum class size requirements are subject to change without notice.
